The feast of Virgin Mary

On the 15 of August there is a celebration in the entire Greece. Almost in every village where exists a church of Virgin Mary, there is also a feast. On Lesvos the biggest feast are in the Agiassos, Petra and Sigri.

In these feasts there is music heard everywhere, people dance, traditional food is offered, called kiskek, and many times they last 2 days.
